CBA Educational Initiatives
One of the primary reasons for the formation of the CBA was to educate
buyers and sellers about important issues in the auction arena.
Since its inception, the CBA has received very high praise for
its educational efforts which have included the “Plain And
Simple” series of educational books.
A recently introduced “Spotlight On” series is a campaign to bring both members and horses to light. Each month, the CBA will attempt to focus attention on both a member and a horse success story by highlighting them here on the CBA website as well as the quarterly CBA newsletter. By focusing attention on a member each month, we will all become a little more familiar with the names and faces we see around us on a regular basis. The purpose of the racehorse campaign is to demonstrate to both buyers and sellers that “great racehorses do not always have great vet reports."
To be highlighted in the "Spotlight On" series as a member, please contact Beth Smith by email at beth@consignorsandbreeders.com.
If you have knowledge of or sold a successful racehorse who overcame veterinary issues or had a less than perfect vet report with it at a public sale venue, please email Joe Seitz with the details (jseitz@brookdalefarm.com) .
Future CBA Projects
The CBA continually works to address current sales and breeding issues on behalf of all consignors and breeders. The CBA would like to hear your suggestions regarding educational projects, books, or other areas of focus you feel are in need of attention. Please send your ideas to Beth Smith by email: beth@consignorsandbreeders.com.

"Without the unity of the CBA we would all suffer in the marketplace... Educationally the CBA is helping the average buyer feel more comfortable with what he's looking at... You can't afford NOT to be a member of the CBA..." - Joe Seitz |
