Wednesday, February 1, 2017 RSS Feeds

The Consignors and Commercial Breeders Association’s (CBA) annual symposium will be held Monday, April 17, 2017 in the Keeneland Sales Pavilion.

We will streamline the format this year, moving the start time to 2:00 pm. Senator Damon Thayer will open proceedings with his state of the industry message. Following the Senator, we will hear from Vision 20/20, the Godolphin Flying Start, the TAA, The Jockey Club, and Plusvital.

From 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, we will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails (compliments of the CBA) where the membership will have the opportunity to socialize with other members, guests and speakers.

Starting at 6:00 pm, we are honored to present the highlight of our symposium. Joining us will be Hall of Fame Trainer D. Wayne Lukas and many of his protégés, including Randy Bradshaw, Mike Maker, Kiaran McLaughlin, Todd Pletcher, Dallas Stewart and George Weaver. Wayne’s former students will share their experiences coming up under the Master. Coach Lukas will share his observations of his protégés as well.  The panel will be hosted by TVG’s Frank Mirahmadi.

This could be our best symposium to date! Please plan to join us; registration details will be made available soon.

Our Mission

The CBA works democratically on behalf of every consignor and commercial breeder, large and small, to provide representation and a constructive, unified voice related to sales issues, policies, and procedures. The Association’s initiatives are designed to encourage a fair and expanding market place for all who breed, buy, or sell thoroughbreds.
